As a gateway to the cold desert of Ladakh, Leh has many hues on offer. The main Leh Bazaar & the Jo Khang Temple are located just 1.5 km from the resort and we recommend a nice walk to the place instead of a car ride. While we expect shopping and eat-outs to keep you busy at the market, chief among whose attractions is the Tibetan Refugee Market, the Leh Palace, located on a hill right above the bazaar, is another excursion that is best explored on foot while it can also be accessed by cars and taxis.
Other local excursions around Leh include a temple run around the monasteries, with Hemis (37 km) and Thikse (22 km) in close proximity. While visiting the two, one can even visit the famous Shey Palace and walk through halls depicting the history & cultural heritage of the land. Contact us
